Jeanette Airen is an exceptional teacher of vocal technique and performance skills. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music with an emphasis in Musical Theater from California Lutheran University and an Associate of Arts Degree in Music from Los Angeles Pierce College. In addition to her degrees, she has also completed a summer vocal program at Musician’s Institute in Hollywood, CA and several acting courses at Beverly Hills Studios.
is currently employed with the Moorpark Unified School District as the Music Specialist at Walnut Canyon School where she teaches students from Pre-Kindergarten to 5th grade. She also teaches after-school chorus programs where she directs the Kinder Chorus, Junior Chorus and Senior Chorus, as well as directs the Spring Musical.
As a singer/songwriter she has performed as a featured artist at renowned venues such as the Anaheim Convention Center, Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, as well as, The House of Blues, King King and Club Spice in Hollywood. She has also shared the stage with well-known performers such as Dick Van Dyke, H-Town and Grammy Award winner, Hila Plitmann. She has even appeared on VH1's Save the Music concert. Jeanette's songwriting craft has been nurtured by producers Todd Cochran and Bill Brendle. As a result, her song “Better Man” reached Top 5 status on Live365's OnExclusive Live internet radio station.
Her versatility, talent, knowledge, and experience has helped her become an excellent teacher. She teaches all styles of
music and she introduces her students to musicianship, music theory,
performance techniques, vocal technique, developing a unique style and making
each song their own. She also teaches beginning piano and ukulele, and her own acting techniques for "truthful acting."
Karen Dotan is thrilled to be a part of the Jeanette Airen Performing Arts Studio team and she is excited to share her love of dance and musical theatre! She has been training in dance for 15 years and has explored a multitude of styles, including ballet en pointe, jazz, musical theatre, hip hop, tap, lyrical, contemporary, Latin, and modern dance. She has studied with California Dance Theatre, Protégé Performing Arts, and Retters’ Academy of Dance. She also studied at the Joffrey Ballet School’s West LA summer intensive.
In addition to her dancing, Karen has also trained in acting and vocal performance. As a member of the International Thespian Society Troupe #6074, Karen competed at the Henry Kemp-Blaire Shakespeare Festival at Chapman University, and was awarded Outstanding Monologue. She is also the Manager of Oak Park High School’s ComedySportz team. She is a member of Oak Park High School’s Chamber and Jazz Choirs. She has performed in a multitude of musicals with the Oak Park Performing Arts Alliance, such as Beauty and the Beast (Dance Ensemble), The Music Man (Zaneeta Shinn), Mamma Mia! (Ali), Chicago (Katalin Helinzski), and In the Heights (Dance Ensemble) with Young Artists Ensemble.

Grant Goldstein trained at California State University, Long Beach, where he received two degrees; One in Vocal Performance and the other in Choral/Vocal Music Education. While he was there, he also music directed shortened versions of musicals that gained the attention of the theater faculty for their high quality. He currently assists the Los Cerritos Middle School choir under the nickname of “OG Gold.” He also arranges music for high level barbershop quartets as well as more traditional ensembles, and sings in both the Masters of Harmony and the Westminster Chorus. He has been playing guitar for 10 years and piano for 8 years.
Conner Stevens is so excited to be a part of the Jeanette Airen Performing Arts Studio staff. He recently discovered a passion for the stage after working as a film actor for 12 years and he wants to inspire kids to have fun working on something as collaborative and creative as theatre. His theater credits include Diesel/Riff understudy (ARTS production of West Side Story), Scorpius Malfoy (19 Years Later), and Will Parker (ARTS production of Oklahoma!).
In addition to performing on stage and on film, Conner is also a filmmaker with a bachelors degree for film production from Cal State University Northridge, a top 30 film school worldwide. As an actor, the process of being on the other side of the camera began to fascinate him, and he started to study production with an emphasis in editing. While attending CSUN, he became certified in AVID Media Composer, the industry standard editing software, in order to produce professional content. His most recent film as an editor is "Kuanza," directed by Ariel Ford, which was sponsored by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association and ARRI. Connor would love to start imparting some valuable knowledge to young filmmakers.
Acting & Playwriting Instructor
Kelsey Wilk is a playwright, director, teacher and actor. She graduated with a BFA in Theatre from Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle, WA, and worked as a playwright, actor and director at several theatres in Seattle and Chicago before coming home to Simi Valley to empower young actors as a teaching artist. She is the Artistic Director of Figure 8 Theatre Troupe, a local theatre company whose mission has been to create groundbreaking original work in the Ventura County area since 2015. Besides writing and directing new plays for Figure 8, Kelsey has been teaching drama in the Los Angeles area for over 5 years. Her theatre programs have helped kids of all ages gain confidence and skills through character exploration, vocal training, storytelling, movement technique and plenty of drama magic.
